Challenges

The idea behind Notify was to first inform operators and technicians ad-hoc about machine problems so that they could react more quickly, and secondly to create transparency about the production location in order to gain business-critical insights from machine data.

✕ Lack of real-time monitoring & reactive maintenance

Without a proactive monitoring system, equipment failures were detected too late, resulting in costly repairs and production interruptions.

✕ Overloaded with data and analytics

Operators had difficulty manually interpreting large amounts of machine data, making it difficult to identify performance trends and potential improvements.

✕ Inconsistent operational performance between machines

Differences in performance between the various grinding machines made it difficult to standardize operations and optimize processes at several locations.

Solution

Together, we developed the Notify IoT machine monitoring tool. We designed the product and developed a go-to-market strategy. The core was building a real-time API for machine data, aggregating production data and displaying the results in an attractive front end.

Real-time monitoring and notifications

NETZSCH Notify continuously monitors parameters such as temperature, pressure and vibrations and sends immediate notifications when they exceed safe operating conditions.

✓ Predictive maintenance and optimization

The system uses historical data analysis to predict maintenance requirements, minimize downtime, and extend equipment life. Notify recognizes inefficiencies and suggests optimizations to increase productivity.

✓ Data visualization and reporting

Intuitive dashboards and reports clearly present machine data so operators can make informed decisions quickly.

✓ Remote access to machines via an intuitive user interface

Operators have the ability to access machine data from any device, allowing faster response and more efficient management.
